Repairing Broken Relationships
A commitment from both labor and management to rebuild and heal a damaged workplace relationship can be assisted by FMCS through the Relationships-By-Objectives (RBO) program. This program is designed to improve relationships between labor and management by mutually identifying action steps to address production, training, communication, and relationship needs within an organization. Although extensive discussion of the parties’ collective bargaining agreement will occur during this program, including facilitated conversations about what the labor-management partners believe works or does not work, this program is not an opportunity to renegotiate contract terms. Upon the completion of a multi-day RBO program, parties will have developed a platform from which they can begin to address day-to-day challenges with value-added labor-management collaboration.
