Conflict Management & Prevention/International

On the domestic front, The Office of Conflict Management and Prevention/International (OCMP/I’s) mission is to grow and support FMCS capacity for full spectrum conflict management and prevention work that primarily falls under the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Act and the Negotiated Rule Making Act. This includes services such as individual, small and large group mediation, facilitation, culture change/relationship-focused change management efforts, leadership strategy/alignment and development, leadership and conflict coaching, training, and consulting.  Both our OCMP/I Commissioners and many of our field mediators are continuously growing and enhancing their capabilities as full-spectrum conflict management professionals and being responsive to changing environments and needs. In addition, OCMP/I Commissioners serve as client managers for our interagency agreements. We are continually building on our current work with federal agencies and are expanding the environments we operate in to include regulatory, environmental, judicial, commercial, enforcement, international, employment, industrial and other areas within our statutory authority and/or partnering with other agencies to provide assistance or support. OCMP is continually building capacity for powerful and impactful client engagements.
