National Labor-Management Conference

The FMCS National Labor- Management Conference (NLMC) is THE place for labor relations practitioners to get the most up-to-date information about sectoral trends, practical bargaining tools, and broad networking opportunities. At NLMC, labor and management experts provide valuable insights into current directions and trends focusing on practical tools and techniques for labor relations practitioners in a plethora of workshops, panels, and plenary sessions.  Labor relations practitioners across the country rely on this FMCS signature event for the latest information on best practices and to take advantage of the valuable networking opportunities with professional colleagues.

The NLMC offers a wide variety of panels and workshops designed to reflect the great diversity of experiences and concerns in the contemporary workplace. However, for a deeper dive into certain topics, FMCS also hosts a pre-conference where attendees come to Chicago a day early and choose one of several all-day workshops provided by the FMCS Institute for Conflict Resolution.  Pre-conference workshops are focused, highly interactive sessions designed to build skills and competency in a specific topic.

NOTE:
2020 NLMC TO BE 100% VIRTUAL

FMCS is closely monitoring the situation during this Covid-19 national crisis, including the federal, state and local social distancing recommendations, attendant policies and rules that would severely limit the 2020 National Labor Management Conference if we conducted the event in person.

The safety and health of all Americans, of our leading industrial relations professionals from both labor and management, of our private arbitrator and mediator colleagues, and of FMCS employees, is our top priority. For this reason, we are moving the National Labor Management Conference, “Future@work: The Collaborative, Connected, Workplace,” originally scheduled in August at the Chicago Hilton Hotel, to an entirely virtual event conducted completely online.

FMCS is already hard at work to ensure an outstanding 2020 conference experience for you! Don’t miss your chance to save on registration fees.

Please save the date and visit our conference pages for more information.

Registration is ONLY $50 for the VIRTUAL CONFERENCE August 18-19, 2020!

NLMC is widely recognized as the nation’s premier labor relations event and the largest of its kind. As such, it presents a valuable opportunity for our sponsors to connect with decision-makers from major U.S. employers and labor organizations.  Historically, our conference attracts more than 1000 representatives of labor and management as well as academics, arbitrators and legal professionals.

The FMCS is a U.S. government agency, and our NLMC is a nonprofit event.  As such, we can offer a limited number of sponsorships for this signature event.  Our conference provides a number of different options that best fits an organization’s needs.  Each package is tailored to present organizations positively and memorably to the business and union leaders in attendance.

NOTE: 2020 NLMC WILL BE 100% VIRTUAL
