62nd Annual Conference of the Association of Labor Relations Agencies (ALRA) Back to Calendar
July 20 - 24, 2013
Description: Registration for the 62nd Annual Conference of the Association of Labor Relations Agencies (ALRA) is now available online at www.Regonline.com/alra2013. This year’s conference is being held at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in Washington DC from July 20-24.

To attend the full conference program, registrants must be a “delegate” (an employee or designee of a member agency). Labor relations professionals, arbitrators and other neutrals are invited to attend the “Advocates Day” program on July 23 at the conference. The Advocates Day program is intended to be of interest to neutrals, labor and management representatives as well as interested members of the public.

Time:

Location: Mayflower Renaissance Hotel , Washington DC

Agenda:
The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) was one of the founding members of the Association of Labor Relations Agencies (ALRA) and has been actively involved for the entire 62-year history of ALRA’s existence. The FMCS is involved in planning both the program and the professional development portions of the annual conference. ALRA member agencies span the spectrum of every labor relations mediation and enforcement agency in the United States and Canada.

From political appointees to labor relations agency staff, attendance at the annual conference provides attendees with an opportunity to learn about the cutting edge issues impacting agencies in the United States and Canada. Equally as valuable is the unique opportunity, in a single event, to interact, exchange information and ideas with colleagues and practitioners from nearly every corner of North America.

Prospective attendees are encouraged to review the agenda, think of the outreach opportunities the conference provides and to consider the professional development opportunities it offers.

Registration for the full conference is available to delegates (employees) from ALRA member agencies. Registration for the full conference includes all conference events beginning with a Saturday night reception and concluding with a banquet on Wednesday evening. “Advocates Day” is the one day of the conference that is open to both delegates and external attendees. This year that day is Tuesday, July 23rd. External attendees can spend the day at the conference listening to an agenda focused on topics of interest on a national labor relations perspective and conclude the day interacting directly with conference delegates and speakers at the Advocates Day Reception

Please note that attendees are responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements for the conference. Hotel reservations can be made from the link at the conference registration website.
