|Description: FMCS and the Society is sponsoring two intensive training opportunities on Federal Employees and Labor Relations.
Basic Labor Relations course includes topics such as Terms and Roles of Third Parties; Representation Rights; Formal discussions and investigations; Grievances and Arbitration. The Faculty for this course includes Jeff Friday, former SFLERP National President; Commissioner Rich Giacolone, FMCS; and Don Musacchio, formerly with Departments of Agriculture and Navy.
Basic Employee Relations includes topics: Annual and sick leave; Leave without pay and AWOL; Dealing with attendance issues; Performance Management; Critical elements and standards; Performance-based actions, and Disciplinary Action. Faculty members are Howard Friedman,President NTEU Chapter 245/USPTO, and Barbara Haga, Federal HR Services, Inc.

Performance Management Critical elements and standards
Registration Fee: $290 for members and $365 for nonmembers per course, or $495 for members and $635 for nonmembers for both courses. Register by January 4, 2013 simply fill out and print the Registration Form and include form payment and mail to SFLERP, P.O. Box 25112, Arlington, VA 22202.
You may also fax the registration form with credit card information to 703-852-4461. SFLERP accepts Visa and Mastercard with appropriate expiration date and signature. Checks, training authorizations (TA), DD Form 1556, and Purchase orders are also accepted. There is an additional processing fee of $20 when paying by Purchase orders or other forms. We regret that online registration is not available. The registration fee includes conference materials. Lunch is on your own. If you fill out a Membership Application and join SFLERP with your registration, you qualify to register at the discounted memmber rate. For tax-reporting purposes, SFLERP's FIN Number is 23-7283877. Full refunds (except for a $50 cancellation fee) will issued if you cancel your registration in writing by Monday, January 7, 2013. No refunds will be issued after that date and purchase orders and other forms will be invoiced. Substitions are permitted at any time but the member/non-member rate applies.
