Committee members (5-8 staff members) make-up the core committee, management and front-line workers agreed to by the administration and union representatives. Committee charter will be signed by all committee members defining roles and commitments. Conduct baseline assessment on quality and employee relations data including: Clinical data related to quality; Assessment of current QAPI committee work by management and employees; and Employee and management assessment of current Labor-Management relationship. Planning & Evaluation: Engage FMCS to conduct Labor-Management portion of the training; Coordinate with Lean/QAPI Trainer; Book training site and schedule coverage for workers. Curriculum to include: Teambuilding; What is QAPI?; Why QAPI is important to the facility and residents; how to work as a team; roles and responsibilities; collaboration and building consensus; How to handle conflict; how to conduct effective meetings; What is the LEAN method and how can you use it to support QAPI?; How to use LEAN in healthcare; and next steps for the Team. |
