Dixon, IL Teacher Strike Ends with Federal Mediator Assistance

With assistance from a federal mediator, the Dixon (IL) Education Association has reached agreement with the Dixon Public Schools Board of Education. The tentative, four-year agreement was achieved during an early morning bargaining session, ending a two-week strike. Students and teachers have returned to schools, and a ratification vote is scheduled in the coming week.
