Teamsters and Waste Management Reach Tentative Agreement, End Strike

With assistance from a federal mediator, members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 117 and Waste Management, Inc. have reached a tentative agreement on a six-year contract. The agreement brings an end to a week-long strike by trash collectors that has affected communities in the Seattle, Wash. metropolitan area.
