FMCS Director George H. Cohen announced today that representatives of Lockheed Martin Corp. and striking members of the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers (IAM) have agreed to accept the assistance of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) in talks aimed at resolving a work stoppage at the company’s Fort Worth TX facility and two military bases in California and Maryland.
The parties have agreed to mediation at an undisclosed time and location under the auspices of Scot L. Beckenbaugh, FMCS Deputy Director, and FMCS Commissioner Clint Hart.
