With the assistance of a federal mediator, negotiators for the California Nurses Association (CNA) and Dameron Hospital in Stockton, Calif. have reached a tentative agreement on all terms of a new four-year collective bargaining agreement. The CNA requested an FMCS mediator after calling for a one-day strike, and both parties agreed to accept FMCS mediation. At the conclusion of the talks, the hospital and CNA jointly thanked FMCS for helping them to bring closure to previous disagreements.
