| Members of the FMCS Roster arbitrate cases for several federal agencies, including the Department of Defense (U.S. Army, Navy), the Department of Justice (Bureau of Prisons), the Veteran's Administration and the Department of Homeland Security. Many of these agency regulations now require any vendor performing services to enroll in the System for Award Management (SAM) formerly Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. If an arbitrator does not accept the federal government IMPAC card for payments, the office must wait until the arbitrator is registered in the SAM database before payment can be rendered in conjunction with the arbitrator's services.
Arbitrators may complete SAM registration online at http://www.sam.gov. There is no cost to register at this website. Once you have obtained a D-U-N-S number and completed the CCR registration process, please forward the information immediately to the federal agency office responsible for payment to reduce delays or problems with payment for services. Arbitrators must renew their registration periodically. If you experience problems accessing this website, please call the Contractor Helpline at (877) 252-2700 ext 1.
To avoid delays, federal sector employers and and their unions sometimes request only those arbitrators who are registered in SAM. Arbitrators on the FMCS Roster should inform the Office of Arbitration Services when their registration is complete so their names can be submitted on panels which require registration is required. FMCS does not record your Dun & Bradstreet number. We only indicate in our database that you are registered.
