FMCS Labor-Management Education Reform Effort
FMCS Director George H. Cohen presented an academic paper, “Advancing Student Achievement in the United States Public Schools Through Labor-Management Collaboration: The FMCS’s Evolving Role in Education Reform,” at a conference in July 2011 sponsored by St. John’s University Center for Labor and Employment Law. The paper describes the preparatory work that has taken place within the FMCS concerning this important Agency initiative as well as an account of the Agency's evolving activities in this area.
