With the start of the 2010 season at stake, FMCS helped Major League Soccer (MLS) and the MLS Players Union avert a strike and reach a deal on a new, five-year collective bargaining agreement.
In talks mediated by FMCS Director George H. Cohen, negotiators for Major League Soccer (MLS) and the players reached a tentative agreement for a new, five-year collective bargaining contract covering five seasons, commencing with the 2010 season and continuing through December 31, 2014.
