The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) issued a news release August 2 announcing a tentative first contract with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) covering 45,000 TSA employees. In its statement, the AFGE credits FMCS mediator Lynn Sylvester for her assistance to the parties in reaching the tentative agreement, which the AFGE notes is the culmination of a 10-year effort.
