The FMCS is a co-sponsor with the U.S. Department of Education and other organizations of the 2012 labor-management in education conference in Cincinnati May 23-24, highlighting innovative ideas and successful policies that strengthen the teaching profession.

 

Titled "Collaborating to Transform the Teaching Profession," the conference of union leaders and school system management from 41 states and more than 100 school districts will focus on efforts to improve student achievement by dramatically increasing the stature of the teaching profession and the number of highly effective teachers in the nation's schools.
